The captivating memories of the former SS Untersturmführer Pfötsch put us right in the middle of the fighting of the company "Zitadelle", in which units of the Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler" (LAH) tried in July 1943, a Soviet front bow of 200 kilometers in length at Kursk to cut off. A group of 12 SS-Grenadiers under their SS-Rottenführer is almost always in close combat during the two-week company. The experience report describes up close the enormous hardships, privations, pains and losses of these fateful days. A stirring diary that is second to none in war literature.
