Das Boot - 308 Minuten - Die Ungekürzte Fassung/TV-Fassung [Blu-ray]

The BEST SERIES OF ALL TIMES !!! On the French Atlantic coast, the submarine base La Rochelle, in the fall of 1941, runs a lonely German submarine VIIC type with the boat number U-96 in the open Atlantic. The proven commander of the boat is the Old (Jürgen Prochnow as Lieutenant Lehmann-Willenbrock), has already sunk more than 200,000 gross tons of enemy tonnage, is considered one of the aces of the submarine weapon. The war correspondent Lieutenant Werner (Herbert Grönemeyer as Lothar Günther Buchheim) is to capture the events of this enemy journey in pictures and writing. After weeks of gammeling in storm and monotony, a convoy is finally discovered on almost empty diesels, which is successfully attacked by four torpedoes at night. This is followed by a 6-hour water-bomb pursuit with 2 destroyers, who successively incessantly march the boat. On the way back, the BDU boat gets the radio message to the Mediterranean. Everybody in the boat knows they are on a skywalk, because the strait of Gibralter is heavily guarded by English warships. Bombed by aviators, the boat dives uncontrolled into never-before-known depths. At 280 meters it hits the bottom of the road. Heavy water ingress and oxygen deficiency bring the crew in a death struggle. After more than 24 hours, the boat recovers and returns with its own strength to the base at La Rochelle. Once there, almost the entire crew of the boat falls through a heavy bombing of the Royal Air Force.
